e-Shakha

An Innovative way of Weekly Shakha

e-Shakha can be attended with a simple web-based browser tool, called as DimDim.

This is a FREE tool.

You need :

Laptop or PC
128 kbps or more bandwidth Internet Connection.
Microphone and Headphones
Skype (installed in your PC / Laptop) Download latest Skype

Optional : Webcam

1. Check for System / PC requirements:

Click : Check Bandwidth

This utility checks your upload and download bandwidth and latency of your connection to the Dimdim server.

and then wait for some time to complete the tests and then you will be able to see the result for the tests.

Please check the result and make sure your connection matches the criteria.

2. Every week, 3 days before schedules e-Shakha you will receive a URL (Internet link) along with time for e-Shakha. Alternatively, you can check e-Shakha schedule at Saptahik-(Weekly)-Shakha.

Just Click on the URL provided in E-Shakha invitation.

4. Once you click on the URL, there will be a small window pop-up for allowing DimDim to access your microphone, speaker and if necessary, your webcamera.

Kindly Click on Allow Access.

5. Kindly send your Skype ID to heramb.kulkarni@gmail.com OR update your details at Swayam-Sevak Parichaya

What is DimDim?

Ans : DimDim is webbased live meetings tool right from your browser (Internet Explorer) with audio and video conferencing, desktop and document sharing.
